Fiumano Projects was launched in 2013, by Francesca Fiumano (the founder of Fiumano Fine Art), as a part of an evolving and expanding gallery program.
The Projects' focus is on presenting the work of artists who do not necessarily ‘fit’ into the traditional preconception of an artist/gallery relationship.
The central philosophy of Fiumano Projects is a commitment to supporting artists and their creative visions. This in turn enables us to work together on projects that will sometimes evolve in unexpected ways.
The gallery has a varied and full programme with exhibitions and events held at our space in Wren Street, Kings Cross. In addition to this we exhibit regularly at international Art Fairs including The London Art Fair, Art Central Hong Kong, Basel, START Art Fair and PULSE Miami Beach.
Francesca Fiumano and Fiumano Fine Art
Ever since I can remember I have dreamed of opening my own contemporary art gallery. In pursuit of my dream I read History of Art at Reading University and graduated with a First Class Honors degree. I opened my first art gallery in 2001 whilst completing my Master’s degree.
My ability to work closely with artists and clients has been the foundation of the success of Fiumano Fine Art. This lead me to launch Fiumano Projects in 2013.
Art is pleasure for the eye and visiting a gallery should reflect this. When people visit the gallery I want them to feel both relaxed by our friendly approach and excited by the work on display.
Art Consultancy at Fiumano ProjectS
I understand the importance of working closely with both private clients and larger corporate bodies. The initial consultation will involve assessing and evaluating your current collection and the surroundings in which you wish to display art. We will discuss your specific requirements such as the size, medium and subject matter of the required art work, the specific space you have, the condition and value of your current collection and how we can work together to enhance and grow this.
Once we have outlined your requirements the acquisition process will be overseen by myself, from initial viewing of new works right through to the installation. I am also happy to advise on insurance, conservation, and art storage/shipping.
With over a decade of experience and a broad network of art market professionals with whom I work regularly I can source most things from modern British printings, antique (furniture and old masters), installation art and contemporary art and design. Each consultancy project is individual and will be completely tailored to your requirements; the level of my involvement is dependent on your specific needs.
I do not charge an initial consultation fee. Our first meeting, weather it be in my gallery at Wren Street or in your home or office, is entirely free and with no obligation.
Further consultancy fees (installation, curation etc) are charged on an hourly rate.
Acquisition of paintings – I currently represent a wide variety of artists from around the world. I also travel extensively and meet new art world professionals regularly. I do not charge you the client should I source work from you out side of the Fiumano Projects collection. A small fee is charged to the supplier of the artwork, this way you will not be paying inflated prices for works purchased.
Art Sourcing at Fiumano Projects
I have over a fifteen years of experience running a contemporary art gallery in central London. In this time I have built up an extensive network of art market professionals with whom I work on a regular basis.
Fiumano Projects and our sister gallery Fiumano Fine Art represent artists from around the world in a wide variety of media and subject matter. If you are looking for something specific not covered by the artists that I represent it would be a pleasure to source the work for you.
Recent acquisitions for private clients include a 16thcentury Italian still life painting, a sculpture of a young dancer, a Murano glass chandelier with matching wine glasses and a painting of a specific building in New York.
